Langdon Graves
I haven't looked through everything but what I see so far I rather like. I'll give it more of a shot when I have some down time at work tomorrow.

In other news...Top Model AND Project Runway are now back on. I'll give you guys my opinions on some of the contestants, again, when I have some down time. So far so good on both fronts. Before I hit the sack let me just say I'm on the Nicole Team.

music: nothing at all

So, I've been watching America's Next Top Model but not really reporting how I feel about it. There are 4 left at this point and my favorite from day one McKey is still in there. Looking at the rest of the girls, who are all gorgeous in their own ways, I could see McKey winning the whole thing. I think she has grown as a model and gotten more comfortable as the show's progressed. I think her face is unique and her height and body type look like they could work for both runway and magazines. With that said, my second favorite is Samantha mainly because she seems like a normal person. She's really grown on me. Her photos have been consistently pretty though also a little misguided. Her natural shot from this past episode was stunning and her personality and comfort as a model seemed to come out in it. Annaleigh I think is attractive and has a great body and personality for modeling but there is something about her that I just can't get behind and I can't put my finger on it. Marjorie and Elina both have taken good pictures but It's not a stretch to say that they both seem to have not really improved much and their personalities as the show projects have been a little grating, Elina with the ice princess exterior and Marjorie as a spaz. I think the finals will come down to Annaleigh and McKey and I could see either winning. Annaleigh's character and personality may take it for her but McKey could swing the vote with sheer talent and potential. This seasons weak but I think the voting has been more accurate than years past and I look forward to the seeing who wins.

Foreign

music: Happiness - The Foreign Exchange

The Foreign Exchange
In a world filled with deflating rap news, really bad hip hop and nothing to really look forward to, it's a joy knowing that a new Foreign Exchange CD is in the pipes. The Itunes release date is October 7th and the physical release is a week after. The first album was great and one of my favorites from '04. Phonte (of Little Brother) is definitely one of the better MC's out today as far as relevance, subject matter and consistency is concerned. Nicolay's production on the last album and just the whole album as one piece from start to finish was impeccable. I look forward to seeing them update the formula and put out another hot product.

ANTM
Tonight America's Next Top Model begins cycle 11. As most of the people that read this blog know, I am a fan and not just a casual fan. I looked at the images of the girls and have not picked my favorite yet. I think I need to wait and hear the ladies talk and get a better idea of personalities. It does seem with Whitney's win last season they've canned the plus sizers this go round but are maintaining the same basic lay out of contestants. Either way, I'll be tuning in at 8.

Claire!

music: Dave Matthews Band

Though I am admittedly a little weirded out by the pumping breast milk and drinking it thing, Claire is my favorite from Cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model. Look at that face and posture...and complexion...and if you've seen the show listen to how she talks. Last nights episode was bad for her though. There was some really immature stuff going on in the house and I'd like to think that the ladies that I cosign would rise above that bullshit but you can't win them all I suppose. My girls never win but I'll root for her until the dreaded panel day comes and then I'll just watch and hate on all the rest of the girls and "Noted Fashion Photographer Nigel Barker".

So the work for my next show at Sugar Gallery is moving at a decent pace. I'm headed down to LA to see The Avett Brothers this weekend and also to hang out with some friends and beardos. I'm pretty excited about it. I haven't seen Nic Bowers in like a year and a half. I get to meet Oz Rodriguez, see Elizabeth and Chris Abell again and drink some beer. You can't top that. I'm working a half day today and then heading home to pack. Upon returning I will have a new roommate! Eventful weekend ahead.

Few other things I'm excited about is Liz Allen coming to visit in May and seeing MIA with her and Joey and Pam coming up in two weeks for the Avett Brothers yet again. I'm jazzed about a few things. There are still some lingering negatives but I/you can't let that stuff get to you. We only live once.

I love you all.

I LOVE TV

Heather & Lisa are definitely my favorite girls from this season. Strange, there is no clear cut favorite. I can almost bet you that neither of these two will win because my girls never win, save my 11th hour support for Caridee in Cycle 6. Do I love this show more than the average male? Maybe. Funny here at work I would talk to Nic about it (before they let him go) and the guys would laugh and then say something like "there's nothing wrong with watching a show with a 13 half naked girls taking pictures". I honestly and truly do not watch this show for any male satifaction reasoning. I genuinely love the competition and the fighting and the photography. I mean look at those two shots up there. Beautiful. Anyways. I'll be tuning in tonight with the normal cast of ANTM characters, Leslie, Michelle, Brian, Julia and Destiny. Laugh if you will, I'm proud of my love for this show. It's not a guilty pleasure it's flat out pleasure period.

Heroes has been pretty good this season and Prison Break has been as ridiculously suspenseful as I suspected. All I need now is my LOST and I'll be set. Funny I watched Nash Bridges this morning with the incomparable Don Johnson and realized that it was produced by LOST writer and producer Carlton Cuse. Night and Day as far as enjoying those two shows, Funny. I'm so ready for it to start, I wonder if this strike will mess anything up, I wouldn't imagine considering how blueprinted the show appears to be.
