Kings of Leon
I was afforded my 3rd chance to see Kings of Leon last night at Arlene Schnitzer because of Rachel Briggs' generosity. The first time I saw them was after Aha Heartbreak was released. Me and Joey ventured to the Neighborhood Theater and were not disappointed. Last year I caught them during Bumbershoot on the mainstage. They were supporting Because Of The Times on this performance. Last night I saw them touring off of the newest release, Only By The Night. I'll spare tons of details but say these guys are probably one of my favorite live acts to see. They seem to go 100% everytime and my familiarity with all the material doesn't hurt. Good stuff.

I'm am so so so jealous that you got to see them last night. I wanted to go so bad but couldn't make it. I've heard they are amazing live though. :)

Yes definitely. There are some killer shows coming up in Nov and Dec, so maybe we'll catch one at some point together.

Nevermind, I didn't see the poster you included. Haha. Nice, its on a Saturday which is a much easier day for me to go out.
I'll definitely plan on this since you're giving me some notice. Can I bring peeps? :)

so i always just discounted kings of leon because "Molly's Chambers" was a, in my opinion, really shitty song that was just jumping on the bandwagon of 5-or-so-years-ago rock "revival"...but checking out "sex on fire" i gotta say i kinda dig it.

you've got a bit of catching up to do. seriously, i kinda understood the initial backlash but they've remained pretty consistent and put on a great live show.
